This Privacy Policy explains how Wealth Mentor Education Limited ("Wealth Mentor", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, stores, uses, and protects personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles (IPPs).

Wealth Mentor is a New Zealand business. Wherever you live, including Australia, your personal information is collected and handled in New Zealand under New Zealand law and this Policy.

By using our websites, platforms, programs, memberships, or attending any of our events (free or paid), you agree to the terms of this Policy.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

We are responsible for your personal information when you interact with our websites, complete our forms or quizzes, request or attend a strategy session, register for events, participate in programs, or otherwise engage with us.

2. What personal information we collect

We collect information reasonably necessary to operate our business, deliver education, sessions and events, and communicate effectively with you. This may include:

•  Identity and contact details: name, email, phone number, and country and state of residence.

•  Form, quiz and session preparation responses: your investment goals, property holdings, equity and borrowing position (in bands, not exact figures), timeline, and anything you tell us in free text answers. These are used to prepare your strategy session and tailor what we send you.

•  Payment and billing information: processed securely through Stripe and Xero. We do not store full card numbers.

•  Participation data: registrations, attendance, bookings, survey responses, and program progress.

•  Media and recordings: photos, videos, or audio captured at Wealth Mentor events (free or paid), and recordings of online sessions where you are told a recording is running.

•  Account and interaction history: emails, SMS, calls, and messages, including via our community platforms and social media.

•  Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, and device data collected via cookies, Google Analytics, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel.

We may collect information directly from you or from trusted partners such as ticketing platforms and referral sources.

3. How we collect your information

•  Directly: when you complete a form or quiz, request a session, register, subscribe, pay, or contact us.

•  Automatically: through cookies and analytics when you use our websites.

•  From third parties: our CRM and booking systems, payment processors, and ticketing platforms.

Collection is limited to what is necessary for legitimate business purposes.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

•  Provide education, programs, intro calls, strategy sessions, and event services.

•  Prepare for your call using the answers you give us.

•  Process payments and manage accounts.

•  Confirm registrations and bookings and deliver updates.

•  Improve and personalise our offerings.

•  Communicate with you about events, offers, and relevant updates.

•  Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud.

•  Maintain security and business integrity.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5. Marketing communications

We may contact you by email and SMS with updates about programs, events, and offers relevant to your interests, based on your existing customer relationship with us or your consent.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. We comply with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential transactional messages such as booking confirmations.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and tracking pixels (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) to measure traffic and site performance, understand visitor preferences, and deliver relevant advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or use the opt out tools Google and Meta provide.

7. Disclosure of your information

We share personal information only when necessary and with trusted partners who are bound by confidentiality and security obligations, including:

•  Service providers: LeadConnector (our CRM, email, SMS and booking platform), Stripe (payments), Xero (accounting), Zoom (online sessions and webinars), ScoreApp (quizzes and assessments), Google and Meta (analytics and advertising), and ticketing platforms for events.

•  Legacy systems: some records remain in our previous CRM (Salesforce) while we complete our migration, protected under the same obligations.

•  Mentors and facilitators: to prepare for and support your sessions and learning.

•  Legal and regulatory authorities: where required by law.

•  Business transfers: if our business is merged, sold, or restructured.

All offshore recipients must provide comparable privacy safeguards consistent with the NZ Privacy Act 2020 (IPP 12).

8. Overseas storage and transfers

Some information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand through our service providers, including in the United States and Australia. Appropriate contractual and technical protections are in place to maintain comparable privacy standards. By providing your information, you consent to its transfer, storage, and processing outside New Zealand in accordance with this Policy.

9. Media and recordings

Photography, videography, and audio recording may occur at our events. These materials may be used for marketing, training, or educational purposes as outlined in our Terms and Conditions. If you prefer not to appear, notify us in writing at [email protected] before or during the event. Unless you withdraw consent, we may continue to use existing materials.

10. Security of your information

We use industry standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and limited access. No method of online transmission is completely secure; you acknowledge that you provide information at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wealth Mentor is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from unauthorised access, disclosure, or use of personal information.

11. Retention and destruction of information

We retain information as long as necessary to provide services and support, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes or enforce agreements. We may keep certain records longer where required for audit, compliance, or business continuity. When no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

12. Anonymised and aggregated data

We may use de-identified or aggregated information for research, analytics, and business development. Such information cannot identify any individual and is not personal information under this Policy.

13. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access your personal information, request corrections, and complain if you believe your privacy has been breached. Email [email protected] to exercise these rights; we may need proof of identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz. These rights and processes apply wherever you live.

14. Children and young people

Our services and websites are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has shared information with us, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Links to other websites

Our sites and emails may link to third party websites. Wealth Mentor is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing information.

16. Breach notification

In the event of a privacy breach we will assess its impact and, where required by law, notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner as soon as practicable, and take reasonable steps to mitigate any harm.

17. Interaction with other policies

If any inconsistency arises between this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions prevail to the extent permitted by law.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect legal or business changes. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
